Spirit Care Package Program

As we gear up for another exciting basketball post-season, we want to ensure that UConn students feel the love and support from their biggest fans – their families! To help our fellow Huskies stay energized throughout March and April, the UConn Student Alumni Association (SAA) is organizing a special spirit care package event. Families are invited to purchase a package for their student, and students will be able to stop by an in-person pick-up event on the Storrs campus* to build a custom assortment of snacks, drinks, and spirit items.

Three pick-up events will be held on March 10, March 11, and March 12, 2025 at the UConn Alumni Center. Details will be emailed to purchasers and their students. Each student will choose from a variety of brand-name salty and sweet snacks, candies, energy drinks and juices, and UConn branded pom poms, roll-out fight song banners, stickers, and more.

By purchasing a package for $30, families will not only support their student but also contribute to beloved campus traditions. Proceeds will benefit SAA’s programming, which includes our OOzeball mud volleyball tournament, annual celebrations for Jonathan XIV and XV’s birthdays, networking events with alumni, and more. While purchasing, there will also be an opportunity to add an optional donation to the UConn Storrs Campus Food Insecurity Fund, which supports students who are facing urgent, unanticipated financial shortfalls that undermine their ability to cover their costs for adequate, nutritious food on a daily basis.

*Please note that we cannot mail packages. All packages must be picked up from the Alumni Center on the Storrs campus. If a student is unable to pick up a package on the listed dates, they are welcome to contact us to make alternate arrangements.
